  • James 1:5, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

  • In what ways does God and Jesus Christ reframe our perspective?

How does this text affect our view of growth and spiritual maturity in light of a broken world?

  • James 1:3, “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.”

  • Consider the fact that James addresses “wisdom” as the one thing that might be missing!

    • Why would wisdom be essential in perseverance?

What do we learn about perseverance in the life of Jesus?

  • Hebrews 12:2, “Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.”
