Prayers of Thanksgiving
Gratitude should be a defining characteristic of a Christian. Whether it is in the midst of pain, a long-awaited promise, or the recognition of grace, thanksgiving should be on our lips. While in distress, the Psalmist praised God. The Apostle Paul was in constant gratitude towards God’s grace for him, and Mary, the mother of Jesus, worshiped the Lord because of his fulfillment of the most critical promise in history. Today, those elements of praise are still true.
