Read the Scripture: 1 Peter 2:13-25
Reflect on the sermon. Is there anything that stood out to you? How are you encouraged or convicted?
According to Peter, why is it beneficial for Christians to submit to authority? Why does it make a difference?
1 Peter 2:15, “ For it is God’s will that by doing good you should silence the ignorant talk of foolish people.”
How do we know when submit and when to push-back? Do we get that option?
1 Peter 2:23, “When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly.”
Where do you need to apply the character of Jesus’ submission to your life right now?
1 Peter 2:20-21, “ But how is it to your credit if you receive a beating for doing wrong and endure it? But if you suffer for doing good and you endure it, this is commendable before God. 21 To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.”
