Marcus Shambry: Ephesians 1:7-10

Tanner Heath   -

Opener (if needed): Do you own something that is old and battered but you still love it anyways?

  • Keep it lighthearted and fun.

Read the Scripture: Ephesians 1:7-10

  • Reflect on the sermon. Is there anything that stood out to you? How are you encouraged or convicted?

How would you explain the gospel? When was the last time you shared it with someone?

  • Ephesians 1:9-10 — “making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.”

Do you believe you have proper “orthopathy” or heart disposition / emotional response towards the gospel? If not, what is missing for you?

  • Remember: Orthodoxy is proper intellectual belief, and orthopraxis is proper outward action.

How do Christians have redemption through Christ’s blood?

  • Ephesians 1:7-8 — “In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight.”
