Simeon
Simeon knew precisely what he was looking for — He was told that he would not die until he saw the Christ, and he was privileged with that very opportunity in Luke 2. His whole life revolved around this one moment. It was worth all of the waiting. Can we say the same? Does the reality of Jesus Christ fill us with anticipation and excitement? We are always dedicating our time and efforts to something, but we must take the time to think if what we are pursuing is worthy of the pursuit.
