Flourish in the Fire: 1 Peter 3:13-18
Opener (if needed): When was a time that you got private access to a place or person? What was it like?
Keep it lighthearted and fun. Think about how this compares to your feelings towards Christ.
Read the Scripture: 1 Peter 3:13-18
Reflect on the sermon. Is there anything that stood out to you? How are you encouraged or convicted?
What can we affirm about the Christian life in this statement: “that he might bring us to God” (3:18)?
1 Peter 3:18, “ For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit”
Are you typically worried about the future? How do you live a life of dailyness?
1 Peter 3:13-14, “Now who is there to harm you if you are zealous for what is good? But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. Have no fear of them, nor be troubled”
As a Christian, how would you define hope?
1 Peter 3:15, “ but in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect”
