The Church is Born
Before he ascended into heaven, he told his disciples to wait in Jerusalem until the Holy Spirit came upon them. This event, known as Pentecost, was the beginning of the church. No longer was God’s presence in a temple but in His people, and the church was sent out into the world to proclaim this new reality. People are invited to experience the presence of God.
